Grace Presbyterian Church on Sunday, held their fourth annual pet blessing service. 40 pets turned out to be blessed by Pastor Mark Salmon, all of whom received words of wisdom from the Pastor plus a treat for good behavior. The blessing services have come about due to an editorial that the Pastor wrote delving into the question, do pets have soles too?

A UK animal rescue service is running out of volunteers and needs foster families to keep operating at a high level

Banbury Animal Rescue and Kindness Service is an animal charity operating in the UK that offers temporary homes for abandoned animals. While they help a lot of animals get off the street and into loving homes, a shortage of volunteers and foster families is putting the charity under undue strain. “We’re the only charity that takes in unwanted animals around here and finds them a new home. We are getting a lot of requests to take animals in but we have not got enough people coming forward to volunteer to take care of them,” stated Committee member Joyce Turner.

New Orleans was recently home to a jazzy procession and funeral service to remember the fallen pets of Katrina

All of us by now have heard stories about beloved pets that were left behind during the horrific hurricane Katrina crisis. Well recently, those fallen pets were given a proper send off.

New Orleans was recently home to a Jazz Funeral for those pets that were lost in the horrific effects of Hurricane Katrina. More than 100 former pet owners took part in the 10 block march that started at Esplanade Street median and ending at St. Anna Episcopal Church. Some owners brought pets others did not, and some pet owners not even affected by the horrific hurricane even brought their pets along as a sign of respect and support.
